Timeline:
Since
that time, we have supplied and installed 7 more high speed WIM systems
on up to 5 lanes and over 30 permanent Automatic Vehicle Classifiers, the most sophisticated
on the Auckland Harbour Bridge with 8 lanes of classification with inductive
loops and piezo axle sensors.
2000: PAT NZ became independent.
2002: PAT was awarded a national
contract for data-collection and related maintenance services at 71 traffic

classifiers TRS in 2003. After 5 Years PAT was awarded the follow-on contract for
the TMS-sites and in 2013 another 3+ year term.
The PAT Germany Traffic Division was acquired by INternational Road Dynamics who is now our main supplier and leader in weigh in motion technology.
2004: PAT has supplied and installed equipment for slow motion scale systems for truck weight checks, located at both the Port of Auckland container terminal exit and Mainfreight terminal (Otahuhu). A further seven permanent slow WIM scales have been supplied to NZTA for use by the CVIU. The CVIU is also using portable truck scales, originally designed and manufactured by PAT Germany.
